What We Believe
The power of the Holy Spirit is available to everyone.
It says in the Bible that God would shake all nations (Haggai 2:7). Shake The Nations Ministries believes God is searching around the nations of the world for men and women who hunger and thirst for His presence. He is raising up a generation of on-fire, Spirit-filled radicals who will literally go and shake towns, cities and even nations for His glory. The end-time harvest is plentiful, and there has never been a greater season to preach the gospel. Now is the time to win souls for Jesus, now is the time to demonstrate God's healing power and now is the time to destroy Satan's stronghold so that all men can know the glory of God in their lives. It is our heart that the nations of the world are shaken by God's power, and lives are supernaturally ignited by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15-18). He said believers would heal the sick and cast out devils. We believe the same power that Jesus and His disciples carried is available to Christians today.
We Believe:
- There is one God, which exists in Three Persons - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ is Lord - He is the Son of God who was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He lived on this earth, where he preached to multitudes and performed mighty miracles. He was crucified on a cross, but was resurrected three days later so all mankind could be saved and healed.
- The second coming – Although no one knows the day or the hour, Jesus will one day return for His church. The Bible teaches that unless you are a Believer and your name is written in the Book of Life, you shall be sent to eternal punishment in Hell.
- The power of the Holy Spirit is available to everyone. The Holy Spirit is the third part of the Godhead and is as equal as God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit's ministry on earth is to equip and empower believers so they can be effective witnesses for Christ (Acts 1:8)
- Initial signs of the baptism of the Holy Spirit are speaking with new tongues (Acts 2). There are many other manifestations, like the ones read about in Acts. There is one initial baptism, but many other infillings are available.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and His healing power is still accessible today. He still heals the sick and raises the dead, just as He did when He physically walked this earth.
- Salvation is available for every soul. Jesus Christ was sent to destroy the works of Satan (1 John 3:8), and He died on a cross and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. Salvation is a free gift and is made available by the grace of God. This experience occurs when an individual confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
