How God got hold of a drug user and turned him into a preacher of the gospel

Pastor's son Nathan Morris was brought up in church and knew the ways of God.
He was surrounded by Christians in his family, but at the age of 18, found himself addicted to drugs when studying at university in the South of England.
Despite being away from God, his father Peter and mother Pam devoutly prayed for revival, and cried out to God for their son's salvation, as did many at Peter’s church in Wath-Upon-Dearne, Rotherham in South Yorkshire.

Prayers Answered

Their precious prayers were answered in 2002, when Nathan gave his heart to Jesus Christ on a weekend visit to see his parents. The Holy Spirit visited him in their front living room one morning, and he was struck to the ground for three hours as God began to speak to him. He told Nathan that He was calling him, and that now was the time to turn from sin and follow Jesus Christ.

The next day, Nathan was on his knees repenting at his father's church, as he became a Christian and asked God to set him free from all sin and bondage.

First taste of miracles

Nathan returned to Cambridge to continue his studies, but instantly recognised the unique calling God had for his life. He began to preach the gospel on the streets of England, where he saw the power of God demonstrated through healing and deliverance.

He felt God was calling him to the nations of the world, but began by holding house meetings, where a small group would meet together and cry out to God to fill them with his fire and to use them for His glory.
The glory of God would visit them in their homes as they worshipped and prayed for hours.

Saturday night fire

Nathan felt God telling him to return to Yorkshire, and after his studies were complete, he started running Saturday night revival meetings at his father's church.

The meetings went against church traditions with their unusual format, as worship continued for hours as the presence of God began to fill the room. Hungry believers began to hear about the services, and some would travel up to six hours to attend and get a touch from the Lord. Many lives were transformed and ministries were birthed during the services.

A call to the nations

More doors opened for Nathan to travel abroad, and he preached at outdoor services in Kenya and India where the power of God was demonstrated in a phenomenal way. There were many testimonies of healing and deliverance as towns began to experience revival.

In January 2006, Nathan formed Shake The Nations Ministries, and more opportunities came to hold mass crusades.
In 2006, Nathan witnessed an incredible 35,000 people bow the knee to Jesus Christ at gospel crusades. Many of these souls were Muslims and Hindus who, despite facing persecution for attending the campaigns, confessed Jesus as Lord. There have been many testimonies of healing – the blind have seen, the deaf have heard and the lame have walked as Jesus healed them.

Throughout 2007 and 2008, God has continued to open more doors for Nathan and the team to visit different nations. They have so far witnessed more than 70,000 people come to know Jesus Christ, with hundreds being healed of sickness and infirmity.

The Vision

As Shake The Nations was birthed, Nathan felt God tell him to believe for one million souls in five years. Nathan has vowed to faithfully preach the Gospel, as he believes God for this mighty harvest.

His fiery preaching, empowered by the Holy Spirit, inspires men and women to become radical for Jesus Christ and to hunger for God's supernatural power in their lives.

As well as preaching in the nations, Nathan also holds regular revival meetings throughout England.
